| The multicolumnTextfield component enables users of Flash MX and Flash MX 2004 to create multi-column text layouts, same as you would see in newspapers and magazines. The component has been created to aid users in designing for the landscape proportions of a screen medium whilst retaining typographic conventions.

 Easily set styles through its intuitive interface- Supports use of pixel fonts
- Integrates with the Macromedia scrollbar or the ultimateScroller
- Set the column width and maximum number of columns to display
- Set the height to adjust automatically based on the content
- Choose the style for appearance (font, size, color, style)
- Text alignment (left, right or center)
- Indentation (choose to indent the first sentence of each paragraph)
- Select background and border colors around the columns
- Live Preview (see the results in the Flash authoring environment)
